Robert WoodsRobert Woods hasn’t eliminated himself from remaining with the Buffalo Bills.

Yes, he appears to be headed for free agency, and, yes, there will be factors in addition to money that will play into his thinking about where his career as an NFL receiver will continue.

‘I think there’s always hope’

Returning to the Bills is an option, but it depends on what they do at quarterback. Will they keep Tyrod Taylor or let him go?

“I think there’s always hope,” Woods told Bruce Murray and A.J. Hawk on the SiriusXM Blitz. “I finished out well with them. I had a good talk with (General Manager) Doug Whaley upstairs. It’s a whole new coaching staff coming in, so could be different plans. I’ve got to speak with them and see their plans, as well as see what happens with the quarterback decision there.

‘That’s my first team, first love, the team that drafted me’

“That’s my first team, first love, the team that drafted me. You can always come in the league and picture getting drafted and have that long career and just go out that way. That’s always every player’s dream, go out and be that team, a draft pick that goes to the playoffs and goes on to win Super Bowls. That’s how everybody wants it. There’s still a chance they could do that in Buffalo.

‘I could see Buffalo sticking with Tyrod, most definitely’

“Everything factors in. It has to be the right amount as well as quarterback decision. Yes, they don’t have a quarterback right now. Tyrod is a pending free agent. EJ Manuel is coming up as a free agent and there also are many quarterbacks on the market as well. Who knows what the decision is going on upstairs, but in a few weeks, we’ll all find out.

“I could see Buffalo sticking with Tyrod, most definitely.”
