While you were sleeping: #SB50 Opening Night highlights, LeBron stuffed by a rookie

Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were following the Iowa caucuses.

Super Bowl Media Day Opening Night

The Super Bowl 50 festivities kicked off last night with Media Day Opening Night. Of course, it brought out the crazies who like to dress up in weird costumes. But none of them came close to Panthers cornerback Josh Norman’s lucha mask:

Other highlights from Opening Night included Cam Newton rapping and singing:

Peyton Manning was interviewed by 14-year-old cancer survivor Austin Denton:

Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis spoke with SiriusXM NFL Radio about whether his broken arm will force him to miss the game:

Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib spoke with NFL Radio about Denver defensive coordinator Wade Phillips:

Manning also addressed whether Super Bowl 50 will be his last game by completely deflecting any retirement questions. “I think ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ returning is much more important than if I return,” he said at one point. Bravo, Peyton, glad to see you have your priorities straight.

Andre Drummond with the throw-down

A bonus must-see moment comes from the Detroit Pistons’ 105-100 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Brandon Jennings and Andre Drummond took it to the playground for this off-the-backboard dunk:
