Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were watching the Republican presidential candidate debate.

The Butler did it

Jimmy Butler has established himself as a bona fide superstar. Butler went off for 53 points in Chicago’s 115-111 overtime win over Philadelphia last night, the most points for a Bulls player since Michael Jeffrey Jordan in 1996. Jimmy Buckets shot 15-of-30 from the field and 21-of-25 from the free throw line while adding 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals. Butler’s previous career-high was 43 points set Dec. 18 in a four-overtime loss to Detroit.

Chicago should still have some concern, though. The team’s star goes off for 53 points and it still took overtime to edge the Sixers by just four points? That’s not a good sign for a team many predicted to be in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Air Curry

Stephen Curry dunked! We repeat, Stephen Curry got up last night for a rare dunk! Why is this news? It’s just Curry’s 16th dunk of his six-year career. By comparison, he has made 1,370 three-pointers. It was Curry’s only two-point field goal in the Warriors’ 116-98 win over the Lakers and he finished with 26 points. Sit back and watch this on loop 100 times, you’re likely not going to see it again for a long time.

Fun with Pop and Craig

Our must-see moment comes from San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager. Sager has battled leukemia since 2014 and made his return to reporting at the start of this season. Popovich has done some classic courtside interviews over his career, but he’s at his best when Sager’s holding the microphone. Enjoy this fun, feel-good moment:
