It goes without saying but we’ll say it anyways: It was a great year to be a sports fan!

From the dominance of the Golden State Warriors’ championship run to the unforgettable seven-game World Series between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers to the New England Patriots completing the most stunning comeback in Super Bowl history, there was no shortage of incredible moments in 2017. Luckily for our listeners, we left it to the many personalities of SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio (Ch. 82) to pick 15 of the top stories of the year.

So, who ended up in the top spot? Touchdown Tom, of course. Down 28-3 in the third quarter, the Patriots mounted an insane comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, scoring 25 unanswered points to tie the game in regulation. On the opening drive of overtime, the Pats scored a touchdown to complete the largest comeback in Super Bowl history.

The Warriors took No. 2 while the Astros rounded out the Top 3. Disagree? Let us know in the poll below.

Other highlights include the Pittsburgh Penguins winning a second consecutive Stanley Cup championship, the circus that was Mayweather-McGregor, and Roger Federer taking home two Grand Slam titles in 2017.
