Take a look back at the weekend in sports with analysis from SiriusXM’s sports team and interviews with national sports stars.

Claire B Lang of SiriusXM NASCAR Radio spoke with Greg Biffle in victory lane after Biffle won the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Mad Dog Radio’s Scott Wetzel said of Tiger Woods’ pursuit of Jack Nicklaus’ major golf championship record, “I said it before and I’ll say it again with Tiger: He’s not winning another major.” Woods struggled over the weekend at the U.S. Open, finishing 12 shots back of winner Justin Rose.

Wetzel also ripped the New York Rangers’ hiring of Alain Vigneault as head coach, arguing that the team should have gone with Mark Messier. Said Wetzel, “See, this is what’s wrong with the NHL. They don’t get it. They are like Publicity Zero. And I know you say you wanna win, but I’m sorry, how many rings does Mark Messier have, versus how many rings does Alain Vigneault have?”

Women’s soccer star Abby Wambach was on Counter Attack on SiriusXM FC 94. Wambach said that she wants “to keep playing for a few more years,” and that she’s currently preparing for the 2015 World Cup.

Tuesday, New York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler will make his major league debut. Jeff Mans of the Fantasy Alarm on SiriusXM’s Fantasy Sports Radio isn’t overly excited about Wheeler’s future prospects, though. Mans said of the 23-year-old, “Zack Wheeler is maybe an average pitcher. His upside is an average major league starter.”
