Amid the coronavirus outbreak, musicians around the globe have been hunkering down to stream performances and create new music for fans. Godsmack, the hard-rock band behind hits such as “I Stand Alone” and “Voodoo,” is no exception. This morning, band members Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola issued a video message to fans via SiriusXM’s Octane (Ch. 37) channel to announce that they’re working on new music and provide some words of advice for everyone holed up in their homes.

“We’re spending our time right now trying to write some new music for y’all because we can’t tour right now. So, we hope that everyone’s staying safe during this pandemic. All of our tours and shows are cancelled for the time being, but this is going to get better,” says an optimistic Larkin.
