The SiriusXM studios can be a wild and magical place. Our hallways are bustling with musicians, producers, athletes, politicians, comics, actors, directors, authors, doctors, you name it!  With so much diversity, worlds often collide here. Sports stars run into their favorite actors, guitar legends wave hello to politicians, newscasters pose with puppets — anything can happen!

Well, 2017 was an especially crazy year — both at SiriusXM and in the world at large — so you might have missed some of the cool moments we got to see! Say goodbye to the year that was, and join us as we look back at seven of this year’s coolest SiriusXM moments.


Theodora Richards & Sean Lennon answer the Internet’s burning questions

Theodora Richards (Yes, Keith’s daughter!) debuted her new show Off the Cuff with her friend Sean Lennon as the guest. The broadcast was streamed simultaneously on Facebook LIVE, and during song breaks the two children of rock royalty engaged with fans online. They answered questions about how they met, their musical upbringings, the first concerts they attended, their favorite music, whether David Bowie used to pick Lennon up from school, and much more.

Off The Cuff with Theodora Richards airs monthly on The Spectrum (Ch. 28).


Laura Dern surprises super-fans Scott Ian & Vernon Reid

While Vernon Reid and Scott Ian were talking about their favorite scary films, they spoke about their shared love for the David Lynch classic Blue Velvet. During this passionate discussion, who should happen to walk into the studio but one of the movie’s stars, Laura Dern!

Hoda Kotb & Gabrielle Union rock out to Sir Mix-A-Lot 

After a candid interview promoting her latest book, We’re Going to Need More Wine, Hoda and Gabrielle took a moment to appreciate the finer things in life: Malbec and Sir Mix-a-Lot.

Richard Branson & Dan Rather are headed to space!

The stars of the critically acclaimed series Netflix series Stranger Things brought their youthful charm to the SiriusXM studios for a live Town Hall with a few lucky SiriusXM subscribers for Entertainment Weekly Radio (Ch. 105). Throughout the hour-long interview, the cast dished on everything from their favorite on-screen romantic pairings, hopes for a third season, and what life is like when they aren’t in front of the camera.

Mike & the Mad Dog reunite at Super Bowl LI Radio Row

Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo reunited at Super Bowl LI Radio Row in Houston earlier this year and they didn’t miss a beat. The Super Bowl stories and New York sports talk fueled their lively hour-long sit-down.

NASCAR stars face off in a virtual race
