WHAT I LEARNED THIS WEEK

A lot happens on Evan & Phillips in the Morning on Mad Dog Sports Radio, SiriusXM channel 86. It’s a good thing that a guy like me takes notes on everything I’ve learned over the course of the week. However, what I learn each week is not what everyone else has learned, making the “What Babchik learned this week” segment on E&P not only a fun listen, but also an educational one.

We all remember where we were on June 17, 1994. It’s a day most of us will never forget. Arnold Palmer played his last round at a U.S. Open in Oakmont, the Rangers celebrated a Stanley Cup, the Rockets and Knicks went at it in Game 5 of the Finals … and it all took a back seat to O.J. Simpson taking cops on a slow-speed chase in a white Ford Bronco around Los Angeles. The guys looked back on a day that will live in our minds forever.

THE WEEKLY DRAFT

Each Wednesday morning on E&P, we hold an Evan & Phillips draft. Sports, food, chicks – if it exists, we will draft it. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the OJ chase, this week we drafted … JUICE! Once again, this draft was very controversial after Evan drafted a questionable “juice.”

COOKING WITH GAS

Steve Phillips isn’t the biggest soccer fan in the world, so when Evan and I got excited saying the World Cup is a really big deal, Steve said the only reason people are watching is for Team USA. So are people watching for the love of soccer, or for the love of country?

WHO GAVE BABCHIK A BETTER BIRTHDAY GIFT: HIS WIFE OR EVAN COHEN?

I think we all know the answer to this one …

VINE VIDEOS OF THE WEEK

What a week for E&P – and I cant wait ’til next week!

This weekend my wife will ignore me, my son will climb on me and Steve Phillips won’t call me. You can bet on that.
