It has been a very big week. We lost our regular dose of comedy icon Jon Stewart but gained a great new political comedy show: The Republican presidential debates. We will be talking about both of those on my live show Saturday morning on SiriusXM Insight (Channel 121), 10 am to 12 pm ET.

I’ll be joined by the always hilarious and always acerbic long time Daily Show correspondent Lewis Black to talk Jon Stewart. Black, who appeared on the Stewart’s final show on Thursday as well as in the comedy documentary I co-directed, The Muslims Are Coming!, will share some of his memories of the late night host and talk the future of political comedy without Stewart.

Grover Norquist on the GOP’s debate. I’ll be joined by one of the Republican party’s most influential people, Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. Norquist will share his views on the first GOP debate. Also Norquist (who has actually performed stand up comedy for years in addition to convincing Republican candidates to take his no tax increase pledge) will weigh in on who launched the best zingers at the debate and who got zinged the worst.

Do Ted Cruz and Scott Walker have a clue about the Middle East? Journalist Haroon Moghul will join me to talk Walker and Cruz’ ridiculous comments regarding the Middle East during Thursday’s GOP debate. The mainstream media is too busy focusing on Trump than to call Walker out for his bizarre claim that Iran and ISIS are connected. They are actually killing each other.  Plus, where is the media on Cruz praising Egypt’s President al-Sisi as the type of leader Obama should emulate? Sisi has a truly horrific record on human rights. As Amnesty International has reported, Sisi has used “rampant torture,” mass jailings and even executed those who dare to publicly criticize him. In fact, the Egyptian comedian known as the “Jon Stewart of the Middle East,” Bassem Youssef, who appeared on my show a few months ago, had to leave Egypt because of concerns of possible repercussions over telling jokes about Sisi.

Is the FBI using a spy plane to watch Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan?! Dearborn community leader Suehaila Amen joins me to talk about what the FBI is up to in Dearborn, home of the nation’s biggest Muslim community. Amen, who was one of the stars of TLC’s reality show All American Muslim, will also be answering all your Muslim-related questions in our weekly Ask a Muslim segment.

I hope you not only listen to our live show this Saturday morning but also give us a call and join the conversation. I want to hear from you.

My show airs live every Saturday at 10am to noon ET on SiriusXM Insight (Ch 121) and repeats several times over the weekend. It is also available On Demand. Hope you check it out and better yet give us a call during the show to “Ask a Muslim” a question, discuss issues of the week or even be contestant on our weekly segment “Name That Religion.” And as always, I want to be your Muslim friend – so if you don’t have one follow me on Twitter at @deanofcomedy and I’ll follow you back or ask me questions at facebook.com/deanofradio.
