You’ve been waiting for the longest time, and your wait is over! The Billy Joel Channel launched on Channel 30 this week, so you can hear the Piano Man throughout October.
Billy Joel’s exclusive SiriusXM channel, The Billy Joel Channel, will feature music spanning his decades-long career, including songs from his live and studio albums. The channel will feature exclusive stories from Joel taking fans deeper into the mind of the artist than ever before. SiriusXM listeners will also be treated to new song introductions from Joel pertaining to other artist’s material
Billy Joel will be showcasing some personal playlists put together for new themed shows: Songs I Wish I’d Written, Billy’s Favorite Keyboard Players and Artists I Wish I’d Seen Live. Additionally, the channel will feature Billy Joel’s singer/songwriter daughter, Alexa Ray Joel hosting a guest DJ show playing some of her favorite songs by her dad.
Listeners can also look forward to a never before heard “Stranger Fantasy Concert” featuring live versions of all the songs from that album. The special will include some rarely heard recordings and one exclusive that has never been released.
The limited-run channel launched on Monday, October 1 at 12pm ET and will run through Wednesday, October 31 at 3am ET, on channel 30 and on satellite radios and on the SiriusXM app.
