SiriusXM College Sports Nation had the first doubleheader of its 2013 training camp tour Monday, stopping in Nebraska and Oregon with the Huskers and Ducks football teams.

In Nebraska, Taylor Martinez talked about the opportunity to join an elite college football club: quarterbacks with 9,000 career passing yards and 3,000 career rushing yards. Should Martinez eclipse each milestone this year, he’d be just the second quarterback in the club, joining Colin Kaepernick. Martinez talked about that and his offseason progression with College Sports Nation.

DeAnthony Thomas and the Ducks, meanwhile, were getting acclimated with their new eye-popping facilities when the training camp tour rolled in. Thomas explained to Rick Neuheisel what drew him to play for Oregon, and whether he sees himself more as a running back or a defensive player going forward.

Next up for the college training camp tour is Kansas State at noon on Tuesday. Other stops this week include Oklahoma and Louisville on Wednesday, Texas on Thursday and Texas A&M on Friday. Listen to the tour on SiriusXM channel 91.
