Jason Pierre-Paul is a highly versatile defensive lineman, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take full advantage of him.

From that standpoint, nothing has changed since Mark Duffner recently replaced Mike Smith as the Buccaneers’ defensive coordinator. Where does Duffner position Pierre-Paul?

‘You never know where I’m going to line up at’

“Wherever you can possibly think,” Pierre-Paul told Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan on Movin’ The Chains. “I’m everywhere, I might be at quarterback. I’m definitely everywhere … on that line, so you never know where I’m going to line up at.”

Pierre-Paul was especially pleased with what he saw in last Sunday’s 26-23 overtime victory against the Cleveland Browns, both in terms of the defensive scheme and the overall attitude of the club.

‘We’re playing for each other’

“It’s kind of simplified now, and guys are playing faster and you want every guy to be energetic, and that’s what we’re doing,” the veteran defensive end said. “We’re playing for each other. It’s not just about winning. It’s actually playing with your brother, and I think we’re doing a good job of that.”
