What a year it’s been! Whether it was fight cards being blown up due to injuries, fighters getting busted for PEDs, or questionable UFC signings (I’m talking to you, CM Punk!), we never lacked for juicy topics to discuss on all of our MMA shows. I present to you our top five show moments of the year! I wonder what 2015 will hold …

‪‪‪1. Chael Sonnen surprises Fight Club (Nov. 4, 2014)

With Chael Sonnen dominating headlines in and out of the cage in 2014, the Fight Club said his name a lot this year. So much so, even he heard it. The former UFC title contender called in to the show while we were discussing his most recent claim that the WWE offered him a $5 million deal. “The Bad Guy” offered some clarity on the details in true Sonnen fashion. – RJ Clifford, host, SiriusXM Fight Club

2. Dog the Bounty Hunter’s son, Leland Chapman, talks about his mission to track down War Machine on TapouT Radio (Aug. 14, 2014)

‪‪One of the moments that really stuck to me this year was when War Machine was on the lam after hospitalizing the beautifully innocent angel and all around extremely talented Ms. Christy Mack! When Mr. Machine was nowhere to be found, none other than Leland Chapman (the son of the world famous Dog the Bounty Hunter) called in to give us an update on their progress of tracking him down. I really connected with Leland because we are both real ass dudes! He gets extra real ass points for tweeting at Christy Mack and asking her out for a date. (Even though he later admitted he was just trying to get a reaction out of War Machine we all know he would hit that. 🙂 ) – Luis J. Gomez, host, TapouT Radio

3. The bad boys of Fight Club react to the brawl between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier at a media event (Aug. 4, 2014)

‪What was originally viewed as your dime-a-dozen press conference leading up to a pay-per-view exploded when Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier threw down in the lobby of the MGM Grand weeks before their scheduled title fight. Hosts Luke Thomas and Ricky Bones remind everyone how much is at stake and why this is the grudge match to trump all grudge matches. – RJ Clifford, host, SiriusXM Fight Club

4. UFC light heavyweight Anthony Johnson calls for PED usage in MMA on TapouT Radio (Feb. 6, 2014)

Covering this sport for a long time I’ve heard a ton of excuses (injuries, judges, diuretics, etc.) The one excuse that I haven’t heard is the one that involves why PED’s should be legal! But I must admit, I was surprised by this controversial statement from UFC light heavyweight Anthony Johnson – Ricky Bones, host, SiriusXM Fight Club and TapouT Radio

5. The bad boys react to Chael Sonnen testing positive for HGH (July 10, 2014)

Chael Sonnen is a salesman – a B.S. artist, some would say – but you would be hard pressed to find a member of the MMA media who would predict that not only one of the coaches, but both coaches, would have to pull out of their scheduled fight after their TUF feud due to commission violations. Welcome to “Wackyville USA,” AKA the SiriusXM Fight Club. – Ricky Bones, host, SiriusXM Fight Club and TapouT Radio
