SiriusXM remembers civil rights icon John Lewis

SiriusXM is honoring the legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis, who died Friday, July 17 at the age of 80.

Lewis, a Democrat who served as the U.S. representative for Georgia’s 5th congressional district, worked alongside the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in the fight for racial justice in the 1960s. At the age of 23, Lewis was a keynote speaker at the 1963 March on Washington. Throughout his more than 30-year political career, Lewis remained a vocal advocate for change and his message will not be forgotten.
