The NASCAR Cup Series visited New Hampshire Motor Speedway last Sunday afternoon. Here’s a look at the Power Rankings after the Ambetter 301:

1. Chase Elliott

He’s won twice and finished second twice in the last four outings. Elliott led 13 laps on Sunday in New Hampshire but lamented on what might have been given some pit strategy that didn’t go exactly as planned. But still he leads the point standings and of late appears to be of championship caliber.

Point Standings: 1st
Last Week: 1st

2. Ross Chastain

Another weekend of controversy for Chastain who drew the ire of several drivers for his aggressive style with Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. among those not enamored with the Trackhouse Racing driver’s exploits. But top-10 finish number fourteen of the season went on the board.

Point Standings: 2nd
Last Week: 2nd

3. Denny Hamlin

It wasn’t a completely stress-free day for Hamlin and company in New Hampshire by any means but he was another Joe Gibbs Racing driver coming home with a decent effort. Hamlin finished sixth to keep his recent string of good runs alive.

Point Standings: 19th
Last Week: 9th

4. Kyle Busch

It’s not often you see Kyle Busch spin out twice but that was the case Sunday at New Hampshire. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was able to keep the fenders on his Toyota despite the pair of adventures and ended up finishing 12th on Sunday.

Point Standings: 6th
Last Week: 4th

5. Christopher Bell

Career Cup win number two came Sunday in New Hampshire for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. Bell had a great car and solid pit work all afternoon as he led 42 laps on his way to the checkered flag and for now a spot in the Playoffs.

Point Standings: 8th
Last Week: NR

6. Martin Truex Jr.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver looked like he’d be the driver to beat in New Hampshire sweeping the opening two stages and leading 172 laps overall. But strategy decisions late came back to bite Truex Jr. who left Loudon with a disappointing fourth-place finish.

Point Standings: 4th
Last Week: 8th

7. Daniel Suarez

A decent day for Suarez who came from the 19th starting spot to post a ninth-place run and add to his impressive season of eight top-finishes in 2022.

Point Standings: 15th
Last Week: 7th

8. Kyle Larson

He ran well in the opening two stages with top-five finishes in each. But the run to the checkered flag did not work out well for Larson with a 14th-place finish to show for his efforts in New Hampshire.

Point Standings: 5th
Last Week: 3rd

9. Tyler Reddick

He made more news off the track with the revelation he’d join 23XI Racing in 2024 then he did on track in Loudon. Reddick seemed stuck in the middle of the field all afternoon and came home with a 21st-place New Hampshire performance.

Point Standings: 16th
Last Week: 6th

10. Ryan Blaney

Another missed opportunity for Blaney to solidify his Playoff hopes after a mediocre day in New Hampshire. An 18th-place finish for the Team Penske driver keeps the heat on Blaney during the summer stretch.

Point Standings: 3rd
Last Week: 5th

Dropped Out: Joey Logano
