NASCAR’s longest race at Charlotte Motor Speedway was a roller coaster ride for many drivers and teams. Here’s a look at the Power Rankings after the Coca-Cola 600:

1. Kyle Busch

A second place run for Busch kept his recent string of solid outings alive at Charlotte. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has finished in the top four in the last six Coca-Cola 600s at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Point Standings: 3rd
Last Week: 2nd

2. Denny Hamlin

A first career Coca-Cola 600 win for Hamlin, who did it without regular crew chief Chris Gabehart who was serving the first race of a four race suspension. Hamlin led three times for 15 laps and had to hold off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch in overtime to score the win in NASCAR’s longest ever race of 619.5 miles over the course of five hours and sixteen minutes.

Point Standings: 17th
Last Week: NR

3. Ross Chastain

He had one of the race’s most dominating cars leading 153 laps along the way. But Chastain ran into trouble to take him out of contention for a third win of the season and the Trackhouse Racing driver was credited with a 15th-place finish.

Point Standings: 2nd
Last Week: 3rd

4. Christopher Bell

He has finished top-six in the last four races of the 2022 season a streak that saw Bell post a solid fifth place performance in the Coca-Cola 600.

Point Standings: 10th
Last Week: 4th

5. Chase Elliott

A day and night to forget for Elliott Who despite leading 86 laps had all sorts of trouble including sustaining damage in an incident that took him out of the race.

Point Standings: 1st
Last Week: 1st

6. Kyle Larson

Quite the adventure for Larson who started at the rear of the field after his Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet needed repairs from an incident in practice. Through a series of trips back and forth in the running order Larson eventually took the checkered flag in ninth.

Point Standings: 9th
Last Week: 6th

7. Kurt Busch

Good qualifying effort for Busch who started the race on the front row. But he too was eliminated in the lap 191 accident and the 23XI Racing driver followed up his Kansas win two weeks ago with a disappointing 31st-place finish in Charlotte.

Point Standings: 20th
Last Week: 5th

8. William Byron

The Hendrick Motorsports driver is definitely trending in the wrong direction of late. He was caught up in a lap 191 accident and eliminated from the race before the halfway mark.

Point Standings: 7th
Last Week: 7th

9. Chase Briscoe

Pretty strong outing for Briscoe although it ultimately ended in frustration. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver had a shot to win the race in the late going but a spin took Briscoe from contention although he did recover to finish fourth.

Point Standings: 13th
Last Week: NR

10. Alex Bowman

A very nondescript day and night in Charlotte for Bowman. The Hendrick Motorsports driver basically finished where he started taking the green flag in ninth and coming home with a 10th-place finish.

Point Standings: 8th
Last Week: 9th

Dropped Out: Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney
