SiriusXM Hits 1 takes you backstage ahead of the 2019 American Music Awards

Good news, pop-culture junkies: You don’t have to wait until the show starts on Sunday to enjoy the star-studded 2019 American Music Awards celebration.

The American Music Awards is where the world’s biggest artists and pop culture icons come together to honor idols, newcomers and record-breakers in the contemporary music scene. As the decade comes to a close, this year’s show celebrates the past ten years with some of the best moments in music and live performances from the biggest names in the industry. From Pop and Rock, to Country, Hip Hop and beyond, it only happens here.

The 2019 American Music Awards performer lineup announced so far includes world-famous artists: Taylor Swift, nominated for five awards this year, will not only perform on the AMAs stage but will also receive the coveted Artist of the Decade Award. Selena Gomez is also set to take the stage, for the first time in two years, for the world television premiere of her new music. Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Lizzo are also set to bring their star power to the AMAs stage, marking the first award show performance for Eilish. Thomas Rhett is partnering with Wells Fargo for a special charitable performance to raise awareness for their efforts to help end hunger. Chart-topping singer/songwriter Kesha, joined by Big Freedia, will make her return to the American Music Awards stage for her first performance since 2013. Global icon Shania Twain, a five-time American Music Awards winner, will perform a medley of her greatest hits. And chart-topping powerhouse trio Jonas Brothers, who received two American Music Award nominations this year, are partnering with T-Mobile to connect fans coast to coast with a special live performance from their sold-out Boston tour stop as part of the “2019 American Music Awards.”

The AMAs stage will also be the place of the world television premiere of two collaborations – Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World and Post Malone feat. Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott and WATT. Aguilera and A Great Big World will take the stage for yet another captivating vocal collaboration. Post Malone, a two-time American Music Awards winner and the most nominated artist this year with seven, will take the stage with Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott & WATT for the world television premiere of their new single. Green Day will also be present on Sunday, roaring back to the stage for a fiery career-spanning performance. And for the cherry on top, the can’t miss event will be hosted by multi-platinum selling artist Ciara!

The 2019 American Music Awards will air LIVE on Sunday, November 24 at 8pm ET on ABC.
