  1. OHIO STATE 

The Buckeyes didn’t run Notre Dame off the field as some predicted but Ohio State had more than enough to beat the Irish in Columbus.

NEXT: Saturday vs. Arkansas State Noon ET

  1. MICHIGAN

The Wolverines looks great against Colorado State to kick off their advantageous home stretch without a road game until October.

NEXT: Saturday vs. Hawaii 8 pm ET

  1. WISCONSIN

As expected the Badgers had no problem beating Illinois State in a 38-0 rout.

NEXT: Saturday vs. Washington State 3:30 pm ET

  1. PENN STATE 

A very good way to start the year going on the road in prime time to beat Purdue.

NEXT: Saturday vs. Ohio Noon ET

  1. MINNESOTA 

Solid play on both sides of the ball led Minnesota to a convincing victory over New Mexico State.

  1. MICHIGAN STATE 

It wasn’t pretty but Michigan State fended off an in-state invasion by Western Michigan to open up the Spartans’ season.

  1. MARYLAND 

Beating a non-conference team to start the year in Buffalo was Maryland taking care of business in the season opener.

  1. RUTGERS 

A statement win for Rutgers getting a victory over a very tough Boston College team to kick off the season on a strong note.

  1. NORTHWESTERN

The Wildcats had an extra week to celebrate their Ireland win over Nebraska before getting back on the field this weekend.

  1. IOWA 

Two safeties helped Iowa fend off a South Dakota State team that was poised for an upset in Iowa City.

  1. PURDUE

The Boilermakers are the only team in the conference without a win thanks to losing the opener against Penn State.

  1. INDIANA 

The Hoosiers exceeded their Big Ten win number of last year by besting Illinois last week under the lights in Bloomington.

13.  ILLINOIS 

A very tough (and in some folks’ minds questionable loss on the road against Indiana evened up the Fighting Illini’s record to 1-1.

14. NEBRASKA 

It wasn’t easy but Nebraska bounced back from its opening weekend win against Northwestern to beat North Dakota.
