Salute the stars and stripes with Radio Classics’ patriotic special on SiriusXM

Keep it traditional this Fourth of July with a Radio Classics (Ch. 148) special as all-American as apple pie. Listen live when the classic Independence Day broadcasts featuring Norman Corwin and James Cagney air on Saturday, July 4 at 8pm ET.

The special features radio drama icon Norman Corwin and Yankee Doodle Dandy’s own James Cagney. It also plays Revolutionary War stories from NBC’s Inheritance and spotlights The CBS Radio Workshop’s USA audio tribute, “Sounds of a Nation.” Can’t listen in live, or want to hear the content sooner? The special is already accessible to subscribers On Demand.

But that’s not all — continue celebrating the classics with a little post-Fourth of July programming.

Listen in on exciting anniversary specials for some of radio’s most iconic shows. Catch three episodes of Tales of the Texas Rangers in honor of its 70th anniversary on Monday, July 6 at 8am ET or Wednesday, July 8 at 10pm ET. Not into Lonestar stories? No worries. Get your fill of detective drama with the 75th anniversary celebration of Jeff Regan, Investigator. Radio Classics will air three episodes in a row on Friday, July 10 at 8pm ET. Both specials will be On Demand after airing.

This time of year also features a host of radio icons’ birthdays. Hear a Milton Berle special on Monday, July 6 at 2pm and Sunday, July 12 at 8pm; Glenn Langan special on Wednesday, July 8 at 4pm ET and Friday, July 10 at 8am ET; and Bill Thompson special on Wednesday, July 8 at 8pm ET.
