Saddle up for virtual performances by country hitmakers during ‘Highway Finds Fest’

Country music has proven to be a haven for countless home-grown artists and hitmakers, and few things launch a career in the genre like being a Highway Find. In celebration, SiriusXM aired a broadcast of the first-ever Highway Finds Fest, a 3-day virtual Country music festival on The Highway (Ch. 56). Over the past decade, The Highway has helped to launch acts such as Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, and many others as a part of the channel’s Highway Finds spotlight. As a result, some of the most successful finds on The Highway — including Luke Combs, Maren Morris, and Sam Hunt — shared the virtual music stage during the weekend of July 17.

Highway Finds Fest hit the (virtual) dirt road to deliver exclusive performance sets from artists’ homes. The three-day broadcast also featured performances from artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Janson, Carly Pearce, Chase Rice, Cole Swindell, Brett Young, and many more (scroll down for the lineup). Former Highway Finds artists Ingrid Andress, Gabby Barrett, Ashley McBryde, and Niko Moon served as festival emcees.

Following Sunday’s Sam Hunt performance, Highway Finds Fest aired a special broadcast of Florida Georgia Line’s exclusive 2019 performance for SiriusXM subscribers at the Ryman Auditorium.

In April 2020, The Washington Post profiled The Highway, touting the successful reputation of the Highway Finds platform — both within the country music industry and amongst listeners — as “finding” and catapulting the careers of new country artists. The Highway Finds spotlight is part of our ongoing commitment to discovering, introducing, and breaking new artists.
