SiriusXM’s new all-music talk channel VOLUME (Ch. 106) is your destination for the annual unveiling of the nominees for the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

A day after the channel launched with exclusive interviews from some of the biggest names in music like Lady Gaga, Billy Gibbons, John Legend and T.I., VOLUME’s daily morning show Feedback, hosted by Nik Carter and Lori Majewski, will keep the action going with the announcement of the 2017 nominees in a live broadcast on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 8 a.m. ET. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation CEO Joel Peresman and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Stevie Van Zandt will announce the nominees.

“The conversation around who gets nominated and inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a passionate debate,” Peresman said. “VOLUME is a great forum for us to announce the nominees and dig into their stories.”

Artists that are newly eligible this year include Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, PJ Harvey, and Alanis Morissette, among others. Other previous nominees that have not yet made it into the Hall of Fame include Janet Jackson, Chic, The Smiths, The Cars, Nine Inch Nails, Sting, Kraftwerk, Yes and The Spinners.

SiriusXM will broadcast the induction ceremony, which takes place in April 2017 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio (Ch. 310). In addition to the live announcement of the 2017 nominees, there will be a special series of shows leading up to the induction ceremony as SiriusXM will feature special broadcasts throughout the year devoted to the Rock Hall’s inductees past and present.

“Fans and the industry will want to know, and debate, who is worthy enough to be this year’s nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said. “We want VOLUME to be the place people go to find out the latest in music, and why it matters. It’s exciting to work with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to broadcast the news to a nation of listeners.”

Take a look back on the 2016 inductees, which included Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, Steve Miller and N.W.A., with this on-demand playlist.
