GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter/author/actor Rick Springfield has a busy summer planned. In honor of the 40th anniversary of his biggest-selling and most-memorable album to date, Working Class Dog, the ’80s icon has invited fellow superstars, GRAMMY winners Men At Work and special guest John Waite, on an 18-date concert tour presented by ’80s on 8 (Ch. 8). Springfield is also a member of the SiriusXM family with his popular weekly radio show, Working Class DJ.

The tour kicks off August 5 in St. Augustine, Florida, and makes stops across America including dates in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Los Angeles. Tickets for this must-see event go on sale to the general public on April 1, but SiriusXM subscribers can get early pre-sale access on March 31 from 12–10pm local time by using the password SIRIUSXM.Working Class Dog was released in 1981 and made Springfield a star with the smash hit songs “I’ve Done Everything For You,” “Love Is Alright Tonite” and, the global chart-topper “Jessie’s Girl.” Springfield went on to sell over 40 million albums and score a breath-taking 17 top 40 hits, including “Don’t Talk To Strangers,” “Affair Of The Heart,” “Celebrate Youth,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch” in his stellar 41+ year career.

GRAMMY winners Men At Work, are arguably one of the biggest bands of the ’80s selling over 30 million albums worldwide and scoring two No. 1 singles in the US (“Down Under” and “Who Can It Be Now”), and three others in the Top 10 (“Be Good Johnny,” “Overkill,” and “It’s A Mistake”). The tour also marks the first time in over 20 years that lead singer Colin Hay has put a band together as Men At Work, dedicating the setlist to the seminal band’s repertoire.

John Waite, another giant MTV-era star, has enjoyed massive success not only as a solo artist with the hits “Missing You” (No. 1) and “Change “ (Top 10) but also as the lead singer of the highly influential power pop band The Babys and the supergroup Bad English. The Babys are best known for the hit songs “Isn’t It Time” and “Every time I Think Of You,” while Bad English scored a No. 1 hit with “When I See You Smile.”
