Blood isn’t always thicker than water on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Though Teresa Giudice ended her feud with sister-in-law Melissa Gorga after completing her prison sentence for fraud, Giudice’s costar and cousin Kathy Wakile is still on the outs with the reality star.

In a trailer for season 7, Giudice goes out to lunch with Wakile and her sister Rosie, saying of their strained relationship, “I want to cut the cancer out, really,” which deeply hurt the mom of two.

“I found it offensive. I did, and I had to stay focused on my mission for that lunch, you know? And it wasn’t to fight,” Wakile said Tuesday on Reality Checked with Amy Phillips.  “She had been through so much, and I wasn’t going there to fight, so I, really, I have a lot of cuts in my tongue. Constantly bitin’ it. So I just had to put that out there like, how do you even say something like that to me, you know?”

“My father died of cancer. I have a daughter that suffered through two brain tumors,” she added. “How do you talk like that to me? And my daughter is, thank God, she’s great, she’s fine, hers were benign. But how do you even talk like that to me, how do you say that? So it took a lot of restraint to just keep focused of what the mission was of that lunch. And it was to try and smooth things out and try to be supportive, that’s all.”

Wakile also said that she hasn’t spoken to Giudice since wrapping the show. Here more from her interview below:
