Remembering LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio host Prince Markie Dee of the Fat Boys

SiriusXM is mourning the loss of Mark Anthony Morales, also known as Prince Markie Dee, after news of his death at age 52. Prince Markie Dee served as a dedicated host on LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio, as well as one of three members of the pioneering 1980s Brooklyn-based rap group the Fat Boys. Honor his memory with his interviews and other special on-air tributes across SiriusXM channels.

Along with his time in the Fat Boys — a trio lauded for their use of beatboxing and credited for ushering in other hip-hop legends such as Biz Markie and Doug E. Fresh — Morales also had a successful solo career, including the No. 1 single “Typical Reasons (Swing My Way),” and co-founded the Soul Conventions production company, which produced songs for Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Craig Mack, and Marc Anthony. Morales also served as the vice president of Uncle Louie Music Group.

During his time with SiriusXM, Morales hosted the Prince Markie Dee Show on LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio (Ch. 43), where he interviewed heavy hitters including Jermaine Dupri, Chris Bosh, CeeLo Green, and many more alongside co-host Just Jheanelle. Revisit some moments from the Prince Markie Dee Show below.
