On the 20th Anniversary of September 11, from 7am to 7pm ET, CNN Originals will feature episodes from its vast archives of documentaries that focus on the George Bush years, fighting terror in New York City, and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Day of Days: September 11, 2001 – A Novel of the Fire Service

September 11 at 8am ET, Jimmy Mac hosts Day of Days: September 11, 2001 – A Novel of the Fire Service. Connecticut volunteer firefighter Frank Napolitano was headed to lower Manhattan for a hearing when the planes hit. Two weeks later, he and his fire company assisted in the recovery efforts there. Though this is a work of fiction, the accounts of the day of 9/11 at the World Trade Center are based on the actual events that the FDNY experienced that day. All profits will be donated evenly between Tunnels to Towers Foundation and the 9/11 Tribute Museum in Manhattan.

Verdi Requiem
