Hard to believe it’s only been 11 days since the incredible finish at Royal Troon and yet before Henrik Stenson even put the Claret Jug down, the PGA Championship is upon us. It’s a quirk of the Olympiad scheduling (and golf being in the Summer Games for the first time in over a century), but the PGA is getting short shrift and we’re here to tell you that’s not fair. This weekend’s tournament at Baltusrol is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting and unpredictable close to the PGA’s four majors for the season. With a first-time winner claiming a title in the first three, will we see another newcomer take a title? Will Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth or Jason Day stake a claim to a major in 2016? Will Stenson duplicate his dramatic Open title and take two of four for the year?

One fan favorite, if only for his beard and ability to get a laugh out of anyone, is Beef Johnston. Of course, Beef’s top-ten finish in Scotland a few weeks back should tell you all you need to know about the lad’s ability to take a course over with his clubs as much as with his outsized personality. Here’s Beef talking about his chances this weekend at the PGA.

Finally there is the Ryder Cup to consider for this weekend as well, as Davis Love III explained to Bleacher Report Radio:
