Pearl Jam Yield Album

Pearl Jam Radio (Ch. 22) is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of Yield, Pearl Jam’s fifth studio album, which originally dropped on February 3, 1998.

Starting January 30, the weeklong celebration will include a special track-by-track of Yield hosted by band members, Pearl Jam’s 1998 national pirate radio broadcast, Monkeywrench Radio, and full-length concert audio from past performances.

Monkeywrench Radio

On January 31, 1998, before the album was released, the band did a national pirate radio broadcast that they offered up to any radio station that wanted to carry it called Monkeywrench Radio. It featured Eddie and Stone DJing between in-studio performances by the band and a few others. Eddie took phone calls from Gloria Steinem, Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney, and others.
