EW Radio’s Lynette Rice is wondering whether Paula Deen, her managers and her legal team should have anticipated the blow back she is facing. And James Bates from the public relations firm Sitrick and Company definitely agrees with her during this Entertainment Weekly Radio interview on “InsideTV” that they handled the situation poorly.

Bates believes that not only should Deen, and even The Food Network, have anticipated the questions during the deposition and better prepared her responses, but that after the deposition occurred, they should have planned for the bad press. He then goes on to explain the thought process that probably went into companies that stopped sponsoring Deen.
