Does the arm of Tua give you the chance to get the most out of Tyreek Hill?
Jim and Pat discuss how the @cheetah fits in the new Dolphins offense under Mike McDaniel

This year’s NFL offseason is arguably just as exciting as the regular season, with major players shuffled around in some history-making trades. The 2022-23 teams are looking unrecognizable, with Russell Wilson leaving the Seahawks, Tyreek Hill traded to the Dolphins and Deshaun Watson leading the Browns. Check out five of the biggest moments from this year’s free agency, and tune in to SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88) to stay up to date with the latest rumors, trades and signings coming out of NFL free agency 2022.
1. Tyreek Hill
The Miami Dolphins acquired wide receiver Tyreek Hill — who was originally drafted in 2016 out of West Alabama — from the Kansas City Chiefs, upping their offensive power in combination with Jaylen Waddle. Hosts Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller discussed whether Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has the arm to get the most out of these two receivers, comparing the strategy to that of Jimmy Garoppolo.
2. J.C. Jackson
Pro Bowl cornerback and former New England Patriot J.C. Jackson signed a five-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Jackson leads the league with 25 total interceptions since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018. The Chargers’ GM Tom Telesco commented on the addition of Jackson as well as linebacker Khalil Mack. “When the ball’s in the air, [Jackson] plays like a wide receiver, and he’s done that consistently in New England … and I really think he can help there,” Telesco said.

"Khalil had a great year when he played for Brandon Staley in Chicago"
"J.C. has the man cover skills we really covet with our cornerbacks"

3. Deshaun Watson
It cost the Cleveland Browns three first-round picks, three other picks and a $230 million contract to acquire quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans — despite his ongoing legal trouble around an accusation of sexual misconduct. Giving up six picks left the team intact, though, keeping key players like Denzel Ward and Nick Chubb on the Browns. “They’re going to have a very strong team. They’re not getting depleted to do this,” Pat Kirwan pointed out. It remains to be seen what will happen to quarterback Baker Mayfield.

4. Russell Wilson
In one of the biggest NFL trades in history, after 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Russell Wilson moved to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a 2022 fifth-round selection and a 2022 fourth-round pick. The trade even shocked Wilson’s Seahawks teammate DK Metcalf, who said on Kevin Garnett’s KG Certified show that he “never thought [Wilson] was going to leave Seattle.”

5. Davante Adams
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams signed a five-year, $140 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, leaving the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers to team up with Derek Carr. He’ll play alongside tight end Darren Waller (107 receptions in 2020) and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (103 receptions in 2021). Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown, who played for 16 years on the former Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, believes the addition of Adams will only make Renfrow better. “I think if Davante comes in and does anything close to what he’s done over the last four or five years … I just think this makes everybody in the offense better,” Brown said.
"This makes everybody in the offense better."
