Listeners can catch extensive programming on MLB Network Radio (Ch. 89) during Major League Baseball’s 2022 All-Star Week, including live broadcasts of the 92nd All-Star Game Presented by Mastercard, the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, the T-Mobile Home Run Derby and the MLB Draft, plus other special programming from Los Angeles.

SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game

On July 16, SiriusXM will have the exclusive radio broadcast of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the best minor league prospects from the American League and National League competing against each other. Pre-game coverage on MLB Network Radio will begin from Dodger Stadium at 5pm ET with a special edition of the weekly show Minors & Majors, hosted by Grant Paulsen.

MLB Network Radio’s broadcast of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game will begin at 7pm ET and will feature Mike Ferrin as the play-by-play voice and former MLB GM Jim Duquette as the analyst. Before, during and after the game, former MLB GM Jim Bowden and Paulsen will conduct interviews with players from the AL and NL team dugouts.

Special Episodes of Black Diamonds

Black Diamonds, the award-winning podcast presented by SiriusXM and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, will record episodes live from Los Angeles featuring several former Negro Leagues and Major League Baseball players. On July 17, museum president Bob Kendrick will host from Play Ball Park in the Los Angeles Convention Center alongside special guests that will include former All-Star and World Series MVP Dave Stewart, Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins and others.

On July 18, Kendrick will record another special episode with Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts at SiriusXM’s studios in Los Angeles. Black Diamonds is a SiriusXM Sports Podcast production, and these episodes and others will be available on the SXM App, Pandora, Stitcher and other podcast platforms.

MLB Draft

On July 17, MLB Network Radio will offer live coverage of the first round of the MLB Draft. SiriusXM’s pre-Draft show will air at 6pm ET. The Draft begins at 7pm ET, and listeners will hear the live selections of every team in the first round, accompanied by commentary and analysis from former GMs Jim Bowden and Jim Duquette, alongside Mike Ferrin and Grant Paulsen. SiriusXM’s broadcast team will also conduct interviews with several of the draft picks in attendance.

T-Mobile Home Run Derby

On July 18, SiriusXM’s on-site programming from Los Angeles will begin at 2pm ET with MLB Network Radio hosts Jim Bowden, Jenny Cavnar and Grant Paulsen hosting live from Dodger Stadium. At 5pm ET, former MLB outfielder Ryan Spilborghs, Jim Duquette and Mike Ferrin will be on the field to host SiriusXM’s pre-game programming and interview many of the All-Stars in attendance. MLB Network Radio will air ESPN Radio’s broadcast of the Home Run Derby starting at 8pm ET, followed by SiriusXM’s post-game programming hosted by Duquette and Ferrin.

MLB All-Star Game Presented by Mastercard

On July 19, MLB Network Radio’s coverage from Dodger Stadium begins at 2pm ET with a special edition of Power Alley hosted by Jim Duquette and Mike Ferrin. At 5pm ET, MLB Network Radio will air SiriusXM’s All-Star Pregame Show, hosted by Jim Bowden, Jenny Cavnar and Ryan Spilborghs. Listeners will hear interviews with Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and many of the coaches and players at Dodger Stadium. The pre-game show will lead into ESPN Radio’s play-by-play broadcast of the All-Star Game starting at 8pm ET, followed by SiriusXM’s post-game programming hosted by Bowden and Cavnar.

Additional Specials

MLB Network Radio will also present two specials celebrating All-Star week in Los Angeles. Remember When: We Love LA (and Brooklyn Too) featuring SiriusXM’s Ed Randall and Kevin Kennedy talking to former Dodgers legends about their time in Los Angeles (and Brooklyn) will debut July 16 at 8am ET. Then, An Oral History of Dodger Stadium featuring SiriusXM’s Mike Ferrin and Dodgers historian Mark Langill covering baseball, and non-baseball, events that have taken place at Dodger Stadium over the years will debut July 17 at 11am ET. Both specials will also be available on the SXM App.
