What’s the highest level of sports you participated in?  And what was your proudest moment as an athlete?

Ryan Bailey, co-host of Soccer Sunday

College soccer, eight-time marathon finisher, county-level swimmer, dive bar-level pool player … I went to an Adidas technology event in London where Zinedine Zidane was demonstrating a new ball that could tell how fast you kicked it. I kicked it 0.5 mph harder than him. He didn’t know we were competing, but take that, Zizou!

Will Carroll, co-host of the B/R Afternoon Drive

College … Coming back from rotator cuff surgery.

Jason Goff, co-host of the B/R Afternoon Drive

High school football … Every bone-jarring screen I set on Monday nights when we play pickup basketball.

Nick Kostos, co-host of the B/R Fantasy Football Show

I tried out for the high school soccer team. They wanted me to run three miles a day. I went home and played video games instead … I scored several game-winning goals in St. Anastasia (Little Neck, N.Y.)’s championship CYO soccer season in 1993.

Dan Levy, co-host of The Morning B/Reakaway

I screwed up my knee getting taken out during an adult co-ed soccer league a few years ago. Couldn’t play for six months. Does that count? … I scored the game-winning goal for the South Jersey Grand Championship when I was 10. It was downhill from there.

Eric Mack, co-host of the B/R Fantasy Football Show

I was a high school football player, wrestler and baseball player. I was named Avon, N.Y., senior class athlete of the year. and didn’t make the final cut on my college baseball team as a walk-on … I did some great things in an amateur’s world. I wouldn’t single out one, especially since some of my favorite moments came playing adult softball. Perhaps hitting a playoff walk-off homer in an adult softball league in South Florida, but that was meaningless against some of my high school touchdowns, game-winning hits and wrestling victories.

Barrett Sallee, co-host of College Football Hangover

High school baseball and amateur motocross … Representing the USA all over Hong Kong and China as a 13-year-old baseball player in 1994.

Will Tidey, co-host of Soccer Sunday

I played a few games for Norwich City at youth team level, and on a semi-professional basis for a non-league side called Horsham Town. The problem was I peaked at 16 and it was all downhill from there … My dad was still playing soccer, in his 40s, when I made my first appearance for my local village team at about 15 years old. There was a game we played together as a strike pair and both scored goals. You can’t buy moments like that.

Nicole Zaloumis, co-host of The B/R Spotlight

Captain/coach of my college dance team, if you consider dance a sport, at the University of San Francisco … Winning most valuable swimmer at 6-under.
