Matt Forte the first pick in F.S.T.A. Experts Fantasy Football Draft

SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio held its first experts draft of the season Tuesday night, the F.S.T.A. Experts Fantasy Football Draft. A total of 14 teams took part, including representatives from ESPN, Stats Inc., USA Today and KFFL.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte went first overall to the Fantasy Alarm team of Jeff Mans and Ted Schuster. Forte was one of eight running backs taken among the first 11 picks:

  7. Montee Ball, running back, Denver Broncos
  8. Jimmy Graham, tight end, New Orleans Saints
  9. DeMarco Murray, running back, Dallas Cowboys
  10. Demaryius Thomas, wide receiver, Broncos
  11. Le’Veon Bell, running back, Pittsburgh Steelers
  12. A.J. Green, wide receiver, Cincinnati Bengals
  13. Dez Bryant, wide receiver, Dallas Cowboys
  14. Julio Jones, wide receiver, Atlanta Falcons

Some of the more controversial picks included the second round selection of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning by Ray Flowers, Chris Liss’ pick of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon in the eighth round, and John Hansen taking St. Louis Rams wide receiver Kenny Britt in the 12th round.
