In a year like no other, pro sports were no exception to things challenged by a global pandemic. This week, SiriusXM is looking back at March 11, 2020 — the day that the NBA officially stopped and postponed its season, setting off a domino effect — as well as an entire year of athletics under the effects of Covid-19.

Americans woke up on March 11, 2020, in one reality. By the time they went to sleep that night, they were living in a new one. Hear the story of the day everything changed — the day the NBA shut down and the pandemic became real — as told by those who lived it on the 30 for 30 podcast.

Returning for a second season, the Coaches Clubhouse podcast hosted by Nicole Auerbach will feature a variety of coaches reflecting on the past year and how it impacted each of their respective teams and sports. This season is titled Coaches Clubhouse: The Covid Year to align with the one-year anniversary of March 11.

Guests include Dave Durden, US Olympic Swimming coach; Nick Nurse, head coach of the Toronto Raptors; Cecile Landi, coach for US Olympics gymnastic superstar Simone Biles; Heather Marini, Brown University QB coach and first female college football assistant coach; Mike Locksley, Maryland football coach and founder of the National Coalition for Minority Football Coaches; and Mark Parsons, Manager for the Portland Thorns NWSL team.

On March 11 at 3pm ET, hear an hour-long special about the one-year anniversary of the NBA season suspension. This was the first major decision in the sports world of cancellations and suspensions due to Covid. SiriusXM NBA Radio (Ch. 86) will look back at the historic night and what it meant for the rest of 2020.

Mad Dog Sports Radio’s end-of-year special includes interviews with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Chief Medical Advisor to the President; Byron Spruell, NBA President of League Operations; Dana White, UFC President; Dan Gavitt, NCAA President; Seth Markman, VP of Production at ESPN; multiple college football head coaches, and more.

PGA TOUR Radio (Ch. 92) will look back at the impact that Covid had on the game of golf and air a series of interviews with PGA TOUR executives, including Commissioner Jay Monahan, about their handling of the pandemic and how they were able to be one of the first sports to resume play.
