We’re feeling “Good As Hell” because Lizzo’s best songs have dominated the pop industry for the last few years. Her biggest hits like “Juice” and “Truth Hurts” have been loved all over the world, and her most recent album, Special, reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart.

Outside of music, Lizzo has extended her talents to acting and fashion. She featured in the movie Hustlers (2019) and recently made an appearance in an episode of The Mandalorian. She even has her own shapewear brand, Yitty!

To honor this icon, we’re looking back on her biggest singles and music videos so far.

“Truth Hurts”

This breakup anthem was originally released in 2017, but it didn’t gain mainstream attention until a couple of years later. It was featured in the movie Someone Great (2019), after which it spread like wildfire on TikTok and quickly became a chart-topping classic. Full of empowering lyrics, like “I’m 100% that b*tch,” this track encapsulates the feeling of breaking up with a toxic person and feeling like yourself again. Couple that with the emphasis on your friends helping you get through, this is an all-time great!

“Rumors” (feat. Cardi B)

Lizzo’s time in the spotlight has, unfortunately, featured a lot of discussion about her personal life. Whether it’s her weight or her relationships, people have been speculating since the start, so Lizzo responded with this punchy diss track in 2021. Some of the accusations she repeats include “They say I should watch the sh*t I post,” “Say I’m turning big girls into h*es,” “They say I get groupies at my shows,” before announcing that all the rumors are true (but only “If you believe I do that”). The video has racked up an impressive 53M views on YouTube and was ranked 5th in The New York Times’ list of the best songs of 2021.

“Juice”

Lizzo has spent her career championing, as she calls her backing dancers, the “Big Grrrls,” and this song is a beautiful ode to them. Combining body positivity with one of the catchiest beats in her catalog, it’s impossible not to groove when “Juice” comes on!

“About Damn Time”

Once again proving her talent for writing empowering lyrics over infectious beats, Lizzo’s lead single from Special is an instant classic. TikTok users immediately jumped on the breakdown at the start of the second verse, with the lyrics “In a minute I’ma need a sentimental man or woman to pump me up” becoming inescapable online.

“Shallow” (Cover)

Not satisfied as just a master of her own songs, Lizzo took on a cover of “Shallow” from the movie A Star Is Born (2018). This performance really showcases the singer’s vocal prowess, as she covers both Bradley Cooper’s and Lady Gaga’s parts of the song. Lizzo has shown off her impressive range on her own songs such as “Cuz I Love You,” and she’s well known for keeping her vocals intact while performing strenuous choreography onstage. Whether she’s singing a cover in the SiriusXM studios or belting out a banger on the Coachella stage, you can always rely on Lizzo to deliver!

“Good As Hell”

At its core, Lizzo’s music is about loving yourself and rising above the negativity. We think that “Good As Hell” is the perfect encapsulation of this message! With lyrics like “You know you a star, you can touch the sky / I know that it’s hard but you have to try,” Lizzo leads the listener through their heartbreak and out the other side. The music video, which has 40M views, features a marching band and orchestra, with Lizzo playing the flute throughout.

Fun fact: Lizzo is a talented flutist and often plays the instrument onstage during her shows! Is there anything she can’t do?
