Singer-songwriter Lauv, the mastermind behind smash hits such as “I Like Me Better” and “I’m So Tired…” (featuring Troye Sivan), recently visited Hits 1 (Ch. 2) for an exclusive interview with The Morning Mashup, followed up by a vulnerable live performance of multiple tracks to promote his latest album, How I’m Feeling.

Among the songs Lauv performed are “Modern Loneliness” — How I’m Feeling‘s closing track — and “Blinding Lights”, a cover of the second single off of The Weeknd‘s buzzed-about upcoming album, After Hours. During his interview with The Morning Mashup, he opened up about what it was like to work with the global sensation boy band BTS on the song “Who” despite the language barrier between them, making it clear that their musical chemistry was able to transcend any cultural differences.

“I just think — because there’s such a mutual respect, and also kind of relating through the music — that it’s good vibes. I wish we had more time to actually spend together,” Lauv said.
