The original and best-known version was hosted by Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers, with announcer and assistant George Fenneman. The show debuted on ABC Radio on October 27, 1947, then moved to CBS Radio debuting October 5, 1949, before making the transition to NBC-TV and NBC Radio on October 4, 1950.

Don’t miss recordings from various USO Christmas Specials spanning 1963 – 1972, the 1977 Bob Hope All-Star Christmas Comedy Special, and his final USO tour during Operation Desert Shield in Saudi Arabia. This “best of” special will be followed by more great holiday content and some of Laugh USA’s favorite contemporary stand-up comedy.
