The comedy scene may look a bit different these days (goodbye, two-drink minimum), but that doesn’t mean there’s any shortage of laughs to be had. Beginning on April 28, SiriusXM is launching the Virtual Moontower Comedy Festival. The five-day experience will air exclusively on Raw Dog Comedy (Ch. 99), and can be heard in its entirety On Demand below.

Originally scheduled to kick off on April 22 in Austin, Texas, the Moontower Comedy Festival was postponed until September due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, comedy fans won’t miss a step as the festival comes to life on Raw Dog, which will recreate the event’s atmosphere and feature its signature standup shows, such as SheBang, Unhinged, Bye Felicia, Blue Moon, NY’s Finest, and Stars In Bars. The shows will be hosted with fresh commentary from The Sklar Brothers, Pete Lee, Dana Gould, Jay Oakerson, Dan Soder, and Ron Bennington, and will be comprised of fan-favorite stand-up tracks from the comedians originally slated to appear in person.

“We are thrilled to work with SiriusXM to present the first-ever Virtual Moontower Comedy Festival in April, right when we would all be experiencing it live,” said Lietza Brass, Moontower Comedy Festival Director. “Rescheduling the festival to the fall created a huge void in the lives of our fans, staff, and artists, and SiriusXM’s innovative concept officially ranks them as the world’s most supportive collaborator. Together we’ve recreated the event virtually, filled with tons of exclusive sneak peeks, so fans can be thoroughly entertained before gathering in Austin this September.”

Raw Dog Comedy is available to subscribers nationwide on SiriusXM radios and to everyone (including anyone who is not already a subscriber) on the SiriusXM app and connected devices as part of our free streaming access period through May 15.
