A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class. An sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP pic.twitter.com/Xy0pl5c4NR

Acclaimed character actor Lance Reddick, best known for his beloved roles in the iconic HBO series The Wire and popular John Wick action movies, has died. He was 60.
Reddick passed away “suddenly” Friday morning, his publicist Mia Hansen said in a statement, attributing his death to natural causes. The news was first reported by TMZ.
A day before his passing (March 16), Reddick appeared on SiriusXM host Bevy Smith’s show on Radio Andy (Ch. 102), Bevelations, in promotion of the next installment in the Keanu Reeves-starring John Wick franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4 (due out on March 24). During the interview, the actor reflected on learning about the September 2021 death of his friend and The Wire co-star Michael K. Williams, who played the fan-favorite Omar Little in the groundbreaking TV series. Reddick also looked back at the legacy of The Wire and its impact on his career. The epitome of class.”
Reddick was best known for his role as straight-laced Lt. Cedric Daniels on the hit HBO series, in which his character constantly battled the corruption in the Baltimore Police Department. In the wildly popular John Wick franchise, the actor played the Continental Hotel concierge Charon, including in the next installment that will be released next week.
