Kelly Clarkson‘s cover song performances for her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, seem to go viral every single week — they’re that good. Appropriately called Kellyoke, this musical segment has seen the original American Idol winner take on hits like Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor,” Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and Whitney Houston’s “Queen of the Night.”

On this past Monday’s episode, Clarkson invited a special guest to join her for a cover of Loretta Lynn‘s first number-one hit, “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)”: the one and only Dwayne Johnson, star of the upcoming movie Black Adam.

Johnson proved he has vocal chops when he sang for the Moana soundtrack in 2016. Now he’s showing off his range with this country cover, seeming to effortlessly sing the lower harmony alongside Clarkson. Watch the video of their full performance below.

On October 4, 2022, Loretta Lynn passed away at age 90 in her home in Hurricane Mills, TN. Her musical career spanned six decades, over 45 million albums sold, 24 number-one singles, hundreds of songs written and countless awards and honors won. “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” was released in 1966 and is one of her most well-known songs. It reached the top spot on the country charts on February 11, 1967. That same year, Lynn also became the first female country artist to achieve an RIAA certified gold record.
