The songs of Justin Townes Earle take on extra poignancy this week, following the tragic news of his death at the age of 38.

With eight albums released between 2008 and 2019, he followed in the footsteps of his father Steve Earle, and namesake Townes Van Zandt.

Earle also made multiple visits to SiriusXM studios, recording interviews and sessions for Outlaw Country (Ch. 60) and The Loft (Ch. 710), including a 2017 appearance on his father’s show, Hardcore Troubadour Radio.

This weekend, Outlaw Country honors his legacy with special memorial programming, including an an exclusive 15-song 2010 solo session for his album “Harlem River Blues,” and tribute episodes of Hardcore Troubadour Radio and The Buddy & Jim Show with Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale.

Rest in Peace, Justin Townes Earle.
