The Tennessee Titans’ defensive game plan for Sunday’s clash with the Baltimore Ravens isn’t complicated.

At least, not as far as Titans tackle Jurrell Casey is concerned.

‘When we get pressure up in his face, everything will take care of itself’

“Man, just get pressure up in (Joe) Flacco’s face,” Casey told Bruce Murray and Bruce Gradkowski on the SiriusXM NFL Blitz. “When we get pressure up in his face, everything will take care of itself. Hit them as much as possible, get him frazzled, get him a little bit upset at the guys up front. And then let the game plan take care of itself.”

Casey said the Titans aren’t overly concerned about where they struggled in being upset last Sunday, 13-12, against the Buffalo Bills.

‘You can’t win the game if you can’t stop the run and you have a lot of turnovers’

“We understand what went down,” he said. “You can’t win the game if you can’t stop the run and you have a lot of turnovers, so as long as we clean those things up, man, we’re in a good spot. So nobody’s panicking, nobody’s stressing around here. We’ve got to make sure we clean those up and understand that we can’t play down to people’s levels.”

So far, Casey pointed out, the Titans are responding well to first-year coach Mike Vrabel.

‘(Mike Vrabel) is always in tune on what’s going on’

“He’s definitely giving everybody his his brain, his thoughts, his understanding of the game from every position possible,” Casey said. “He’s always in tune on what’s going on. He understands the game, understanding the concept of games from every phase — from offense, defense and special teams. So just really trying to build this program with more so of understanding and knowledge.

“Everybody’s born with talent, everybody’s born with the attributes that you have, but understanding and playing the game is where we’re trying to take this thing to the next level.”
