Julia Louis-Dreyfus: ‘I did not adapt well, I was very miserable’

For Seinfeld fans, Elaine was the quirky, neurotic, serial dating best friend we never had. She dated more guys then us, got to hang with the boys, and blew our dance moves out of the water. Now, Louis-Dreyfus has retired her dancing shoes for more mature (but equally awesome) roles in HBO’s Veep and recently starring with James Gandolfini in his last role for the film Enough Said.

But not everyone remembers that she got her start on television with Saturday Night Live from 1982-1985, which she says was one of the unhappiest times of her life.

The Emmy® and Golden Globe-award winning actress stopped by for a Q&A session with a group of lucky listeners for the SiriusXM “Town Hall” Series. Louis-Dreyfus spoke to Entertainment Weekly’s Jess Cagle about everything from her new film to her epic career.

Airing tonight at 8 pm ET on Ch. 105 (see Entertainment Weekly Radio for rebroadcast times).
