Knowing an overhaul to the Chicago Bears’ coaching staff was inevitable, guard Josh Sitton saw what he hoped would be an ideal landing spot after his imminent departure as a free agent.

Wherever his two favorite former Bears coaches ended up, of course.

‘I kind of figured something was going to happen with your coaching staff’

Sure enough, Sitton signed with the Miami Dolphins, and was reunited with offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn and offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains.

“I kind of figured something was going to happen with our coaching staff at the end of the year and I talked to Coach Wash and my OC, Dowell Loggains, and I had mentioned to them, ‘Hey, if ya’ll end up going somewhere and I end up not being in Chicago, let’s get back together because I really enjoyed playing for those guys,'” Sitton told Brady Quinn and A.J. Hawk on the SiriusXM Blitz. “So when free agency came around, I was excited that Miami called and I was excited to get to talk to those coaches.

‘I love the way they coach’

“I love playing for them, I love their system, I love the way they coach, I love Coach Wash coaches. It was a big factor in me going down there. Obviously, I’m a lot closer to people in Florida, being from (Jacksonville) and playing college football here, so those are all big factors.”
