GRAMMY® Award-winning artist John Mayer kicked off football’s biggest weekend on February 9 with a live performance of songs from his latest album, Sob Rock — including “Last Train Home” and “Shouldn’t Matter but It Does” — for SiriusXM and Pandora’s Small Stage Series. Relive the full show below.
During the exclusive concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Mayer jammed out in front of a jam-packed crowd, featuring stars like Heidi Klum and Vanessa Hudgens, before pausing the show briefly to help a concertgoer who had possibly fainted while he was performing “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.” Mayer resumed his performance after being told and reassuring the audience that the fan was alright.
Along with the concert — which aired live on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum (Ch. 28) and on the SXM App — Mayer sat down with Andy Cohen for an exclusive Radio Andy (Ch. 102) interview to discuss his music, upcoming tour and more before Cohen hosted the show; hear the interview below.
Fans at the Small Stage Series show received complimentary T-shirts designed by Mayer and stadium-regulated clear tote bags for use during the Big Game weekend. Attendees were also treated to live pre-show entertainment. To maintain the highest public health standards and/or requirements, SiriusXM and Pandora adhered to health and safety protocols for the venue, and all state and local health mandates to protect attendees, staff, and artists.
