Jesse Ventura confirms intention to run for president in 2016 on Leiberman Live

A little over a year ago on The Howard Stern Show, Jesse Ventura spoke with Howard about his intention to run for president in 2016 – with Howard as his running mate.

“I won’t do it if you don’t do it with me,” Ventura said at the time. “I will be that serious. There’s a method to my madness. I need you.”

Tuesday on Leiberman Live with Jon Leiberman, Ventura reiterated his intention to run, telling Leiberman and the Wack Pack panel that he has a new running mate in mind – Cynthia McKinney – assuming Howard is no longer interested. McKinney served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, and ran for president in 2008 in the Green Party.

Ventura expressed a great deal of confidence when it came to his chances of winning the 2016 election, pointing to low voter turnout in recent years.

“They’re opening the doors for me because politically, nationally, only, what, 36 percent of people chose to vote? That means I’ve got a pool of 64 percent, which is a majority, waiting for me,” Ventura said. “I’ll steal some from their 36 [too]. Let me put it this way: You give me ballot access in all 50 states and allow me in the debates, I’ll beat ’em.”

Even Hilary Clinton?
