Tony Khan, CEO of All Elite Wrestling and owner of ROH, announced the news on Twitter, writing: “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.

“Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day.

“We’ll do whatever we can to support his family.

“Rest In Peace Jamin.”

Jay Briscoe was one half of the Briscoe Brothers tag-team duo with his brother and fellow wrestler Mark, becoming 13-time Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions. Last year, both brothers were inducted into the Ring of Honor’s inaugural Hall of Fame class.

Listen to the full episode of Busted Open now to hear hosts Dave LaGreca, Mickie James, and Tommy Dreamer mourn the loss of and pay tribute to Jay. They also bring on former ROH Owner Cary Silkin and fellow Busted Open host Bully Ray to share their memories.
