Eric Ebron doesn’t see a whole lot of magic behind the fact he has 11 touchdown receptions in his first 11 games as a member of the Indianapolis Colts this season, which is as many as he had in four seasons with the Detroit Lions.

The tight end simply chalks it up to investing the time to build chemistry with Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.

‘Just getting together with Andrew, understanding what he’s thinking, being there for him’

Ebron’s two touchdown catches helped the Colts beat the Miami Dolphins, 27-24, Sunday.

“We were down and we found a way to win.”

“Honestly, just getting together with Andrew, understanding what he’s thinking, being there for him,” Ebron told Steve Torre and Bill Lekas on the Sunday Drive. “And just making plays when my number’s called. Really, that’s it and that’ll allow me to just zoom in. And, really, I’m having a lot of fun doing it.”

‘These guys have been putting their everything into practice, putting their everything into preparation’

In improving to 6-5, the Colts showed tremendous resilience, rallying from a 24-14 deficit early in the fourth quarter.

“Just a lot of hard work, man, honestly,” Ebron said. “These guys have been putting their everything into practice, putting their everything into preparation and just being resilient. We were down and found a way to win.

‘We knew if we get back to the offense we’ve been … we would pull away with a victory’

“We just knew we had to make plays. We knew that, if we make plays and get back to the offense that we’ve been the last two, three weeks, then we would pull away with a victory. Really, we just got on the sideline and we got everyone together (and drove home the message). And it was great. We did what we had to do to pull out the victory.”
