SiriusXM’s Heart & Soul (Ch. 48) and Kirk Franklin’s Praise (Ch. 64) will broadcast live from the 2019 Essence Festival in New Orleans over the Fourth of July weekend on Friday, July 5 through Sunday, July 7.
SiriusXM hosts Cayman Kelly, Michel Wright and Meta Washington will be live on the Ford Stage at 3pm interviewing some of the biggest names in R&B, Gospel and urban lifestyle, including Bobby Brown, H.E.R., Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Mary Mary, Sherri Shepherd and more.
Following the live broadcast at 6pm ET, Heart & Soul will host “A Night in N’awlins” with an exclusive performance from Grammy-nominated artist Brian McKnight at Tipitina’s in New Orleans. Then on Sunday, July 7 at noon and 8pm ET, don’t miss a rebroadcast of McKnight’s performance, along with performances by Raheem DeVaughn and Avant.
Plus, Kirk Franklin’s Praise takes us to church as host Meta Washington welcomes some of the Gospel world’s biggest celebrities on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm ET.
