SiriusXM’s Rotten Tomatoes Radio spoke with Harrison Ford Wednesday about his role in Ender’s Game. The movie, set for release Friday, is Gavin Hood’s highly-anticipated film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s 1985 sci-fi novel of the same name.

“It’s a complex character. He’s both mentor and manipulator,” Ford said of his character. “The themes we’re dealing with here in this science-fiction adventure context are important themes in reference to the society we live in.”

Ford went on to describe the film’s main character, played by Asa Butterfield, and discussed some of the elements of the plot.
