🎶 On the fifth day of Five Day Death Punch, my true love gave to me 🎶 …even more songs introduced by Ivan Moody, Chris Kael, and Zoltan Bathory. On the heels of their aptly-titled eighth studio album, F8, Five Finger Death Punch took over the hard-rock airwaves every hour for five days straight on Octane (Ch. 37).Starting last Friday, the Vegas-based band members shouldered guest DJ duties surrounding the release of F8 (pronounced “fate,” not unlike what brought Octane and the band together for this five-day takeover). The album, which was announced last May, was preceded by the single “Inside Out” back in December. To vocalist Moody, “Inside Out” represents his struggles with addiction, while the record as a whole repeats that sentiment, along with paying tribute to friends he’s lost throughout his period of struggle (such as Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington). Guitarist Bathory considers F8 a “rebirth” of the band, which takes on a two-fold meaning as the first studio album with new drummer Charlie Engen and the embodiment of a refocused (and sober) group.

Rock out to the band’s new music, other favorite metal jams, and more On Demand below.
